I believe that whatever "flavor" of fairy tale a person is hoping to find, they'll find it in one of these six stories.
My contribution to this book, "Blancanieves," is a retelling of the Snow White story. The setting is a tiny fictitious kingdom in sixteenth century Northern Spain. Spoiler: The evil queen has a lot more on her mind than beauty. The survival of her little kingdom, she believes, requires the death of her daughter.
